AI Teammates Coming to "Ghost Recon Breakpoint" in July

In April, Ubisoft said that the next update for "Ghost Recon Breakpoint" would "focus on bug fixes to help improve the player experience" and was scheduled for release in June. Unfortunately, now that June is here, Ubisoft has changed that plan somewhat, announcing today that the planned patch will be incorporated into a major title update to be released in mid-July.

The good news is that this title update will also add AI teammates that were somehow not in the game at launch. Breakpoint's predecessor, Ghost Recon Wildlands, offered AI-controlled squadies, and while they don't replicate the experience of playing with a flesh-and-blood team, they do give players tactical options that are not available in solo play. Ubisoft said late last year that the addition of AI teammates was one of the most requested new features among "Breakpoint" players.

Along with AI teammates, the 2.1.0 update also includes a PvP update and the next Gunsmith update, which will include bug fixes and quality of life updates, as well as a recurring DMR (Designation) that "has had a significant impact on PvP and raid players." Marksman Rifle) exploit fixes, including everything intended for the 2.0.5 update.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint was pretty bad when it came out in 2019, but Ubisoft is committed to fixing that, and this update could be a big step in that direction. Ubisoft also offered a free trial version in March and a friend pass that allowed those who owned the game to play it with friends who did not.
