Deck of Ashes is a fresh, new roguelike deck builder not to be missed.
[More than a year after its Early Access release, "Deck of Ashes" will be released in full on June 9 by developer AYGames. The full release will cost just $19.99 and will add improvements to the existing Early Access content, new features, a new protagonist with his own campaign, three new card archetypes, and an epilogue to conclude the story.

The new roguelike deck builder has received very positive reviews in Early Access, and with the official launch of the Day 1 Edition, anyone who purchases the game in the first two weeks on Steam will receive a digital art book, HD wallpapers, existing skins for the main characters all, plus a special content pack including a thank you letter from the development team.

For those unfamiliar with "Deck of Ashes," it is a roguelike game in the vein of "Slay the Spire" and "Darkest Dungeon. In this game, you follow one of several anti-heroes on a journey of redemption. You will play through each character's campaign and follow their story as you explore the procedurally generated game world and various biomes. The full version of the game will add a campaign for a new character, Magnus the Ugly Jester.

Throughout the game, you will find new cards to build your card deck. These cards will be used to fight the many enemies and infernal creatures encountered on the map. As in any tactical card game, success is determined by how well you build your deck and how well you play the cards you are dealt. If you fail, permanent death awaits each character, due to the nature of Rogue Lite. Therefore, we want to take on this challenge with a spirit of challenge.

During battles, players will enjoy the hand-drawn art style of the characters, the enemies they encounter, and the eerie environment. The characters are also animated, giving the game a lively atmosphere. For more on this game, please see Part 1 of AYGames' Developer Diary.

The game is now in full release, but not without content just yet: the Day 1 version of "Deck of Ashes" is available on Steam until June 23, but there is one more way to get into the game. Currently, AYGames is hosting a creative mini-boss design contest, where game fans can submit character designs that could potentially appear in the game. Participants will also receive a hand-painted Genetrix figure to bring the game world into the real world. For more information on the contest, join the Deck of Ashes Discord channel.
