Chivalry 2" now available for cross-play on current and next-generation consoles.

"Chivalry 2" will be cross-played on both current and next-gen PlayStation and Xbox consoles, a short announcement trailer has revealed.

In a now-deleted trailer on Deep Silver's official channel, discovered by Twinfinite, this multiplayer medieval slash-'em-up is Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC, as well as full cross-play between all platforms.

While the trailer has disappeared (ahead of its announcement at today's IGN Summer of Gaming), Twinfinite said it has also released details about the game itself, including village burnings and the ability to ride horses. Both were in the original Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, so it would not be surprising to see them return in the sequel.

As for the PC version of Chivalry 2, it was confirmed at last year's PC Gaming Show that it would be an Epic Games Store exclusive. At that point, the game was slated for a 2020 release. With luck, a specific release date will be announced in the next few days as we are halfway through this year.

But then "Torn Banner" was released, then cancelled, then "Mirage" was released: then "Mordhau" came along and dethroned "Chivalry" as a medieval combat game. Floor developer) should bring back the large-scale medieval nonsense that made their last game so memorable. Tyler describes the alpha version as "nuanced, gross, and epic fun."

"Chivalry 2" will be available this year for Xbox One X, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC through the Epic Game Store.
