Details of Nvidia Ampere's massive RTX 3080 heatsink are now available.

RTX 3080 will look like this The Nvidia RTX 3080 leaks frenzy continues as a Reddit user posted more images of the Nvidia Ampere Founders Edition heatsink, and the high-end graphics card's As for the topsy-turvy design, it seems that previous leaks were accurate.

This image is from Reddit user LeeJiangLee, who posted no information other than the image. The heatsinks in the pictures tell us all we need to know: all three are identical to each other, and each seems to fit the graphics card leaked a few days ago. They also appear to be production line quality and not the initial samples that were first suspected.

The images do not tell the whole story by themselves, but they do add further legitimacy to past leaks and the final design of Nvidia's next generation GeForce graphics cards. Recent snaps also seem to confirm that Nvidia is really ramping up its efforts for an Ampere release date, suggesting that it will be available as early as September.

Rumors are already in full swing. The latest is that Nvidia will release three new RTX 30 series cards (RTX 3080, RTX 3080 Ti/Super, and RTX 3090 Ti/Super) in the high-end market. Yes, three cards, a new name, and a TDP of up to 350W. Crap.

And looking at all the metal that makes up the heatsink, I can see why it is suggested that the Founders Edition shroud alone costs $150. Ouch.
