Rockstar's multiplayer Wild West fest, Red Dead Online, has its fair share of hackers, just like the old GTA Online. Sometimes they do crazy things, like transforming into two-headed skeletons to beat up cowboys or messing with Chris in various ways. He also sometimes uses cheats to create KKK members to harass other players.

The KKK does not exist in the Red Dead Online universe, but as Polygon explains, it does exist in Red Dead Redemption 2's single-player campaign Some players on the RDO subreddit have reported a recent increase in KKK-related hacks and cheats. Earlier today, Tez2 reported on Twitter that the ability to spawn KKK "peds" (Red Dead in-game models) in Red Dead Online for PC has been removed in a new update. Some players have complained that Rockstar addressed this issue relatively quickly but did not address the broader technical issues, although this is far from the implementation of friends-only sessions in RDO that some players have been asking for.

Rockstar did not officially announce the update, but confirmed to Polygon that it had updated the game to disable cheats.
