PAX, this year a non-stop online event for 9 days

PAX West, PAX Australia, and EGX were canceled as physical events this year, but their organizers are pooling their energies to replace them with a nine-day, 24-hour online event dubbed "PAX Online. The event will run from September 12 to 20. There is no fee to participate.

But what is PAX if not a physical gaming convention where people visit booths, exchange pins, and play board games? That's what PAX is:

In other words, it's the Internet, but it's more organized. It's not like the one in Seattle, but for those who have never experienced PAX in person, it has the advantage of being able to see all the panels. It also means that for those who would normally attend PAX West in person, there is a 0% chance that they will end up eating at the Cheesecake Factory across the street from the Seattle Convention Center, which is a blessing even if they don't know it.

Organizers have not explained exactly how they will distribute game demos or how they will run the social aspect of the event.

For now, those who want to run a panel can submit ideas, and organizers are looking for indie developers and exhibitors who want to participate in the show. For more information, see the official website.
