Fortnite" Season 3 Patch Notes: Glorious Hunting Rifle Returns, Charging Shotgun Makes First Appearance

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 is here, and there have been a lot of updates, from the big ones (hunting rifles are back!) ) to small ones (headshot damage has been nerfed a bit), there have been a lot of updates. Unfortunately, Epic no longer issues patch notes, so we are left to pick up all the changes ourselves. Luckily, I can talk about Fortnite, so most of what catches my eye stands out right away. Below are the unofficial Fortnite Season 3 patch notes. I will update it as other information becomes known in the coming days.

With half of the map now underwater, mobility is more important than in normal build battles. With fewer structures, island hopping is more important to weather storms and move to more favorable locations. Here are some of the biggest changes in the Fortnite Season 3 map. Speaking of mobility...

You can now water ski behind sharks. Use a fishing rod to get in. The sharks will damage you, so be careful.

The hunting rifle is back. Thankfully, my favorite weapon is back. Long reloads and no scope make it a highly skilled weapon, but once you get the mouse sights just right and learn to account for the slight drop-off in distance, it's one of the most satisfying weapons in Fortnite history. I am curious to see how it will be positioned in this new water meta.
