Raijintek's massive 12 heat pipe air cooler for RTX2080Ti

If struggling for two days with a custom-loop liquid-cooled PC isn't your thing, Raijintek's latest GPU air cooler might be better suited for you. Capable of cooling Nvidia RTX 20 series or AMD Navi GPUs up to 360W, the Morpheus 8057 offers a serious upgrade to commercial GPU heat sinks.

Right out of the box, the heatsink/fan combo that comes with the GPU is usually more than capable of providing adequate temperatures with only a moderate annoyance to your ear canals. But if that's not enough, it's time to consider a custom kit: the Morpheus 8057 is a massive 12 heatpipe air cooler for dual 120mm fans.

This is all well and good, as installing the Morpheus requires tearing the graphics card down to a flimsy PCB, but from there the installation process is relatively straightforward, as four screws hold the strong plate firmly in place.

The Raijintek Morpheus 8057 (via Fanless Tech, Tom's Hardware) supports the following GPUs.

Future Nvidia Ampere or AMD RDNA 2 GPUs may require a different cooling configuration or heat sink design, so it is best to play it safe if you intend to upgrade at the end of 2020.

However, the cooler can only cool the GPU; three copper heatsinks and one aluminum heatsink are included with the cooler.

Morpheus is sure to be a force to be reckoned with when placed alongside the Noctua air cooler for the CPU, and with a size of 254 x 100 x 44 mm, one would expect nothing less from a cooler of its size. It also weighs in at a hefty 515g.

Performance also depends on the choice of PC fan, so be sure to choose a pair that can efficiently draw heat away from the GPU.

Pricing and availability of the Morpheus 8057 has not yet been announced.
