Fallout 76's first season starts this week

This week, Fallout 76 received its first season pass, and it is themed around a board game. Season 1 is called "The Legendary Run," in which players complete tasks to earn S.C.O.R.E. points and move around a sci-fi game board representing the race between Captain Cosmos and Doctor Zorbo. Rewards also include ghillie suit armor paint, various retro-futuristic kamaboko-shaped space suits, and lunchbox consumables that act as XP boosters for players and those nearby.

Fallout 76 will always have daily and weekly challenges that can be completed to earn atoms and other rewards, but the season will merge them into tidy little content unlocks and rank-ups to satisfy our lizard brains! No doubt. It has long been known that the first season is free, and Bethesda's blog confirms that future seasons will also be free.

The Legendary Run will run through mid-September. After the first two weeks, players who wish to rank up without completing all challenges will be able to do so by paying 150 atoms per rank.
