Director Kojima again announces his next project.

Director Hideo Kojima hasn't said anything specific about the next Kojima Productions film, but he loves to give vague previews of what he's working on, or sometimes thinking about working on. And he's back at it.

On Friday, he posted a snapshot of his desk on Twitter, along with an overview of the new game he and art director Yoji Shinkawa are designing. Whatever it is, it appears to be in the very early stages, with the basics still being discussed.

What is interesting are the pictures of his desk. The most prominent is the BB for "Death Stranding", which is clearly placed there intentionally. This, of course, leads one to suspect that Kojima Productions is already working on a sequel, but that may be a outright lie.

BB also sits on top of the Star Destroyer sketch, but since I don't think the universe is kind enough to give a Star Wars game to someone as strange as Kojima, let's just assume it's just a random sketch and nothing more.

Kojima has already spoken about a sequel to Death Stranding. While he has not committed to a sequel, he said he would start from scratch rather than make it a direct sequel. There is no Sam Porter, but he would like to work with Norman Reedus again.

Kojima also expressed interest in making smaller games or episodic games, but that does not mean there will be no follow-up to Death Stranding. The studio plans to work on several projects, one of which will be another major game. In addition to games, Kojima is also eager to draw manga, and in a BBC documentary, the studio said

that it will begin making movies in the near future.

Of course, the PC version of Death Stranding has not yet been released. Nevertheless, it will be available soon, and you will finally be able to roam the post-apocalyptic America of Iceland, a world filled with people with outrageous names. You can play it on July 14.
