It has been sometime in the past 20 years since that day in "Diablo 2" when we followed our now fallen hero through dungeons and deserts. It was a journey that set the standard for other action RPGs.

With Diablo 3 coming to an end and a release date for Diablo 4 yet to be set, this year's celebration is a bit subdued, but Blizzard is still commemorating with a few things: first, a casual retrospective contributed by a Blizzard employee, which is a great way to celebrate the company's long history with the game and its history. Unfortunately, there's not much insight into the design, but after 20 years, there's probably not much more to say.

Meanwhile, Carbot Animations has put together a short film that perfectly captures the trials and tribulations of trying and failing repeatedly to join Baal. Last year, Carbot made StarCraft: RTS look like an old Flash game.

You can also watch speedrunner MrLlamaSC stream Diablo 2. He will be playing all the games including the Pandemonium event.

As for free goodies, there is no such thing as a celebration without goodies, so you can get your hands on Prime Evil Wings for Diablo 3. All you need to do is log in after June 29. This cosmetic gear will make you look like the Emperor of Destruction, with grotesque, sharp-looking tendrils growing out of your back. Check out the video below.

If you want to satisfy your nostalgia with cash, you can also pay £175/$140 and buy this limited edition 10-inch Diablo bust. The UK page says it will arrive this fall, and the US page says it will arrive on January 21 at the latest.

No new Diablo 4 news, but Blizzard just posted updates on the story, multiplayer, and open-world elements last week.
