It's not immediately clear if Crysis Remastered will work, as it has been delayed "several weeks" on all platforms.

The announcement comes just one day after the trailer leaked online, along with an earlier release date of July 23. The remastered version will incorporate ray tracing and higher quality textures in the Cryengine, but the reaction to the leaked trailer was not positive. One commented, "It looks like the original 'Crysis,' but on the lowest settings. Many others said that with a few mods, it could already surpass the remaster's look.

Crytek's official statement said that the company is aware of the leak and is watching the reaction. With the extra time before launch, we can bring Crysis Remastered up to the standard of PC and console gaming that you have come to expect from a Crysis game," the company said.

The official release of the gameplay trailer has also been delayed, presumably to rework it to better showcase Crysis Remastered's new graphics capabilities.
