Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone is working on some new things, but he's still working on some old things as well. Barone took to Twitter today to confirm that the Stardew Valley 1.5 content update he announced in February is still in development.

The obvious guess is that it is a room in the back of Willie's store and may serve as a bedroom and storage room. However, some fans have theorized that it is actually his secret marijuana plantation, a passageway to the fish underworld, or an entrance to a small Animal Crossing-style island. Personally, I think it's a magical portal to Sigil, the City of Doors, where a crossover between "Stardew Valley" and "Planescape" has been announced, and which promises to be the biggest multi-franchise crossover event in video game history!

Well, no, that's definitely not it. But I will admit that it's not the worst idea I've ever heard.

No word yet on when the "Stardew Valley" 1.5 update and Willie's new door will be released. I've emailed Barone to ask what's going on and will update when he tells me.
