Leaked screenshots of "Watch Dogs Legion" reveal operatives and unique abilities.

Ubisoft has another leak, courtesy of Reddit user joelio, who has posted a collection of Watch Dogs Legion screenshots on Imgur. While not as good as the 30-minute leak of "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" released on Sunday, we can still see some of the characters that will be added to the operative's ranks.

What would soccer hooligans think of dystopian technology and constant surveillance? I have no idea, but I look forward to learning about it through the magic of video games. It seems that one can play as this type of operative alongside spies, cops, and other professionals.

The most notable mechanism of Legion is that any NPC in the game can be recruited and turned into a playable character who can die forever. This includes old grannies. The choice of operatives determines the abilities they can use, so hooligans can call on their friends to help them in a brawl and take less damage because they've been drinking, and spies can get ridiculous spy cars, spy watches, and pistols with silencers.

This information is also likely to be available while walking around, so you can see what kind of cargo someone you happen to meet is carrying and decide if it's worth recruiting. In the screenshot of the cop above, you can see a small icon in the corner of the NPC's detail screen, a red thumbs-down, which may suggest that you cannot recruit her yet.

When Ubisoft showed off Legion at E3, there were three broad classes with different perks - infiltrator, enforcer, and hacker - but these seem to have been replaced by specialized classes with more unique perks. They may also carry a pair of weapons and gadgets, such as drones.

The date on the poster is also circled by the uploader: September 16, which obviously leads to the conclusion that this is Legion's release date, but take this with a grain of salt.

Ubisoft has postponed Legion, along with several other games, to an unspecified time in 2020/2021. However, we should see more details on it soon, as it will be on display at Ubisoft's Ubisoft Forward showcase on July 12. You can also get a free copy of Watch Dogs 2 by logging on to Uplay during the show.
