You can play Minecraft in Half-Life.

General
You can play Minecraft in Half-Life.

Minecraft can be played on game consoles, smartphones, Windows 10, and Java, but is that really enough? No, of course not. There are still plenty of places you can't play Minecraft. Why can't you build a castle on an ATM? It may be an impossible dream, but at least I can play it in Half-Life now.

Half-Craft is an ongoing mod by b4n4n4, porting Minecraft to the GoldSrc engine.

The alpha demo video above looks almost exactly like Minecraft, although the torch icon is of course from Half-Life. Some of Gordon's weapons also seem to work with his hands. That blocky Minecraft appendage apparently does not have the dexterity to handle an assault rifle. However, when holding regular Minecraft items, the arm reverts back to its original position.

The process of porting Minecraft to the GoldSrc engine was a tricky one, and b4n4n4 has detailed some of the problems they encountered. However, they came up with a solution and now you can try the alpha version yourself.

The goal is to make the mod equivalent to the alpha and beta versions of the original game, but b4n4n4 warns that the current version still has bugs to squash, and only basic ones. You can break blocks, place blocks, and explore, but you have to generate the blocks yourself. Graphics issues are to be expected, and the game is not designed with multiplayer in mind.
