"Assassin's Creed Valhalla" seems to be full of holes. This time, the smaller video focuses on a battle between Aver and a woman who can throw ghosts, a classic Anglo-Saxon trick.
The series has always toyed with magic and mysticism, but it began to lean into it in earnest with "Odyssey," which pitted Alexios and Cassandra against a host of gods and monsters.
The battle between Avor and Cordelia, shared on Reddit, is still the familiar one-on-one duel, with the two trading blows mostly with swords and axes, but with the added feature that Cordelia can teleport, summon ghosts, and conjure lightning bolts. A bit tougher to grasp than other fights in Assassin's Creed, the second phase seems to be a bit more challenging.
Following the fight, we get another look at the inventory system and the new skill tree. There are still three rough paths to follow, but there are more branches and routes.
A few maps also make an appearance, giving us a look at Mercia and East Anglia, which have only been partially explored. The regions have recommended power levels and progress meters for wealth, mystery, and secrecy that will likely fill in as treasures and other hidden items are discovered.
