Landfall has announced a new roadmap for its chaotic historical sandbox Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, revealing plans to release the full game later this year. In the new roadmap, Landfall said it aims to release TABS around October to December.

Players have been at the mercy of TABS' slapstick physics-based battles since the game launched into Steam Early Access in April 2019.Landfall had planned to release the game around August or September earlier this year, but in this new roadmap, the studio has a later release date planned.

The roadmap outlines the future of TABS for the remainder of 2020 and into 2021, alongside a full Q4 release. Plans include a secret Q3 update with several "long-awaited units and possibly the return of revamped and beloved maps" and unit creators. 2021 will see the release of a console version, localization, Twitch integration, and other new hero units will be released along with post-release content.

At the end of the roadmap posted on Reddit, Landfall states that any of the dates detailed are subject to change due to the studio's well-being." It goes on to write that "game development is difficult to estimate because many unexpected things can happen.

"We promise not to crunch, as we believe it would be damaging to both the game and the developers working on it.

In the Steam Summer Sale, the Early Access version of Totally Accurate Battle Simulator will be available for 30% off before the end of the day. If you want to see who wins in King Arthur vs. 100 persistent Hobbits, go check out Chris' TABS preview (which doubles as a silly GIF showcase).
