Microsoft Flight Simulator Closed Beta Begins July 30

After nine months in alpha, Microsoft Flight Simulator will move into closed beta on July 30. Access to the beta follows the same rules as the alpha, and you must be registered in the Xbox Insider Program to receive an invite, but thankfully it is free. Those who currently have access to the alpha will automatically receive access to the beta.

If you are waiting with baited breath for access to the alpha version, check your inbox.

Finally, for those lucky enough to have access to the closed alpha, Asobo Studios has released a new version with extensive tweaks and fixes. The improvements are mostly "refinements and tweaks" to all planes, but most of the changes are fairly repetitive and won't excite anyone but the lucky few who have been in the alpha. The full notes are here.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is still expected to be officially released in 2020.
