Production on The Witcher Season 2 will resume soon, but due to the COVID-19 delay, it will be a long wait for the show to return to Netflix. Meanwhile, modders are putting the Netflix cast back to work before the show resumes. A new mod released this week, "Netflix Triss Merigold," mods Witcher 3's Triss to look like actor Anna Shaffer, and for a mod, it's a surprising resemblance.

Shaffer looks quite different from CD Projekt Red's interpretation of Triss. Some of the comments on this mod show some of that bitching, but there is also praise. One user wrote, "I think this is the best face texture mod I have ever seen for this game."

Earlier this year, another modder replaced Jenefer's face model with a likeness of actor Anya Charotra. This retexture, based on another mod, is particularly well done. It is indeed Netflix's Yenefer.

There are, of course, several Henry Cavill mods for The Witcher 3. If you're going to replace Yen or Triss, it makes sense to replace the entire trio. Earlier this year, James showed me how to create the perfect Henry using a collection of mods. This is because Cavill apparently spent a lot of time on the set and intentionally muddied up his costumes.

While I wait for season 2 of the Netflix series, I'm thinking about playing Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine again to explore every inch of it. I haven't decided yet if I'll do it with a gun or not.
