GeForce Now let me play Hyper Scape five minutes after signing up.

Now you can play Ubisoft's Hyper Scape using GeForce Now Hyper Scape is the latest in a seemingly endless line of battle royale games that were announced a few weeks ago and entered an open beta phase after the Ubisoft Forward event. It is the latest in a seemingly endless line of battle royale games that were announced a few weeks ago and entered the open beta phase after the Ubisoft Forward event. It also appeared on Nvidia's game streaming service. The good news is that you can try out the beta without downloading anything to your machine. It also takes almost no time at all to get up and running.

When I decided to give it a try, I was surprised at how fast I got into the game after signing up for Hyper Scape: about 5 minutes. To try it yourself, you need to sign up and download GeForce Now (I tried it with a free account just to be sure) and sign up for Ubisoft's Hyper Scape.

Once you have downloaded GeForce Now and signed in, simply search for Hyper Scape in the app and launch it. At this point, you must log into your Uplay account from within GeForce Now to authenticate that you "own" the game, and as an aside, I was kicked out of the Uplay app on my machine, but had little trouble after that.

For a minute or so after booting up, it would say "optimizing shaders" and seemed to do that every time I booted up, but then I was ready to fly around a futuristic city called Neo Arcadia. Or I was shot all over the place trying to figure out what was going on.

Performance seems good, with little to no signs of compression or lag, and the game certainly looks pretty. This is a run-and-gun game, so accuracy is key. It feels like the kind of game that would benefit from a high refresh rate, so it's ultimately worth downloading and playing natively, but as a way to see if this is the game for you, GeForce Now seems like a pretty decent option.

I have no idea what to think about Hyper Scape. It feels great to jump around, the city looks amazing, and the "storms" work well (entire districts are removed as the game progresses), but the guns... Well, even with full upgrades, it feels "normal" at best. Oh, and the voice acting may be grating.

Still, my brief test was enough to convince me that there was something worthwhile here, a game I'd like to explore a bit more; after an hour of gaming (one session is limited to one hour with a free GeForce Now account), I installed Hyper Scape is not a huge game; it's an 8GB download, but this is still a good way to see if it's the game for you.
