Assassin's Creed Valhalla" also has side quests, but slightly differently.

There have been many claims over the past few days that Assassin's Creed Valhalla has no sidequests. Depending on where you look, there are no side quests, no traditional side quests, not enough side quests, etc. This all seems to stem from one article on Gamespot. And semantics.

Valhalla has side quests. Wes also wrote about it in his Assassin's Creed Valhalla hands-on!

"Where Valhalla is inferior to The Witcher, at least in the limited range I've played, is in the sidequests," he writes. 'I only encountered a couple, and they were very brief. One was helping a kid find a cat. Another was helping a man retrieve his horse from the other side of the river. They were two-minute distractions, not the rich and unpredictable quests that effectively rooted Gerard in his world."

From what we have seen, one does not look for an icon on the map indicating the quest client, but instead encounters it while walking around. Ubisoft calls this a world event, but it is not unique to Valhalla. The Red Dead Redemption series has plenty of them. It's certainly a different approach than the Odyssey sidequests, and I'm not sure that's a good thing, but these are definitely sidequests.

On November 17, you will be able to find missing animals and whatever else Valhalla throws at you.
