Dragon's Dogma anime coming to Netflix this September

Announced in March 2019, the "Dragon's Dogma" anime series will finally be available on Netflix on September 17. The information came today from Netflix's official Twitter account, along with the first artwork related to this anime adaptation.

Please check it out:

Not much is known about the series yet; Netflix already has a landing page for the anime with a fairly brief description." Ethan sets out to slay the dragon that has stolen his heart." But each time he battles the demon, he loses his humanity. With tags like "dark" and "exciting," this is sure to be a good one.

Ethan must be the character mentioned in the synopsis provided when the series was announced. At some point during the process of slaying the dragon, "the man returns as Alicen" and encounters "a demon who symbolizes the seven deadly sins of mankind."

If Ethan has to climb painstakingly to stab the demon in the skull, I'm happy. Better yet, I'd be happy with a sidekick who is forced to endlessly warn Ethan that the enemy is "a nasty enemy." While we wait for the series, we can fantasize about Ituno Hideaki's plans for the seemingly inevitable Dragon's Dogma 2
