Mozilla's New $5/month VPN Offers 'Nonsense' Privacy Policy

After a little over a year of testing, Mozilla has launched its own VPN service for $4.99 per month. the developer of Firefox, Mozilla is entering a somewhat crowded field and relying on its reputation in the browser space to lead the pack. Mozilla also promises fast speed and promises data privacy with no third-party strings attached.

"We are not affiliated with any third-party analytics platform that wants to build a profile of what you do online. And because the manufacturer of this VPN is backed by a mission-driven company, you can trust that the money spent on this product is not only ensuring you have access to a top-notch VPN, but also making the Internet better for everyone," Mozilla stated.

This is in line with Mozilla's claim of "no nonsense data privacy principles."

Mozilla VPN, as the name implies, does not retain user data logs,

making it, in our tests, the best at gaming, such as Surfshark and NordVPN We are up against VPNs. While we have not yet had the opportunity to use the Mozilla VPN, we are intrigued by what Mozilla is promising.

Slower speeds are one of the potential drawbacks of using a VPN; according to Mozilla, the new service is fast and nimble.

"Mozilla VPN is based on modern, lean technology, and the 4,000 lines of code in the WireGuard protocol are a fraction of the size of legacy protocols used by other VPN service providers," Mozilla says.

Mozilla VPN uses more than 280 servers in over 30 countries. There are no bandwidth limitations; Mozilla VPN currently supports Windows PC, Android, and iOS (Mac and Linux coming soon).

It is unfortunate that Mozilla does not offer a free trial. Instead, it offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. This basically equals a trial, except that you have to actually provide funds first.
