Aquaman Villain Black Manta Featured in Fortnite Skin

In conjunction with Fortnite's Aquaman skin, Black Manta, the underwater superhero's nemesis, has also been introduced to Fortnite as a new skin. To get the superhero, played by Jason Momoa, you must complete the "Aquaman" challenge, but to get Black Manta, you must complete a unique challenge that involves spending real money.

Black Manta can be obtained for as high as 1,500 V-bucks, or about $14 to $15 real money.3]

The Black Manta is undoubtedly visually inspired by the more modern era Aquaman, primarily the Jason Momoa film

The black manta ray is a "real money" fish.

Both in Fortnite and in the film, Black Manta surprisingly looks like a classic-era Power Rangers villain, with a brightly armored suit and a giant helmet with orb eyes that shoot laser beams. It definitely doesn't work that way in Fortnite, but at least it will look like Rita Repulsa's favorite putty monster while clutching victory.

Black Manta's set also includes a back adornment in the form of a "manta pack" that looks exactly like the back armor he wears in the film. It features a glowing spine like Isaac Clarke's engineer armor in Dead Space, but it is not known if it will react in the same way.

Mantas also have a harvesting tool called a "manta blade," which is essentially two simple daggers with a trident for a handle.

Fortnite skins come and go fairly quickly, so there is no telling when this skin will be available from the item store.

Don't forget to check out the other Fortnite guides and patch notes, as well as the Aquaman Skin Challenge Guide. If you are looking for a specific challenge, there are guides on where to complete the swimming time trials in Dirty Docks and where to use the whirlpools in Fortilla.

There is also a Season 3 map guide available, which includes all the new locations that will be revealed when the waterline is drawn.
