We don't see many discounts on Intel's 10th generation Core "Comet Lake" processors (they haven't been on the market very long), but here's one - Newegg is selling a Core i7 10700 for $309.99 on the eBay channel.

This is a $50 savings over list price. Of course, this chip is not typically sold at full cost, but it is still about $20 cheaper than virtually anywhere else, including Amazon and Newegg's site. This is also the lowest price for the i7 10700.

This model does not have a "K" on it, so there is no unlocked multiplier for overclocking. But it's a capable chip without any modifications: 8 cores and 16 threads, 2.9 GHz base clock, 4.8 GHz boost clock, and 16 MB of L3 cache. Simply put, it has the power to run a high-end gaming PC.

For comparison, the Core i7 9700K, one of the best CPUs for gaming, is an 8-core/8-thread CPU with a clock speed of 3.6GHz to 4.9GHz and 12MB of L3 cache. So the 10700 will be slightly slower, but will have more cache and hyperthreading support; the 9700K is currently priced at $369.99.
