I found a prize contract on the back of a truck parked by the window of my apartment. I crawled in to get it. It was right there. And I got the contract, but I soon found out why I shouldn't get it: it was impossible to get out of the "Call of Duty: Warzone" truck.

After a few minutes of troubleshooting in the back of the truck, I pulled out my unsilenced assault rifle and fired off a few rounds. Sure enough, the enemy answered my call and killed me. I watched in glee as they next leaned into the truck.

The truck is parked in Verdansk Cemetery outside the Superstore and has become infamous in Call of Duty: Warzone. The trucks usually contain cash, weapons, and contracts. One must get down to crawl in, but the windows and truck entrances are uneven, making it impossible to jump out or back into the building.

"I got hit the other day too," said Redditor Fuzzykittenz3039. 'There was a scavenger contract on the truck.'

Some have called the truck a bug, cursing Infinity Ward for creating an inescapable location. This has been happening for months, with a new video of someone getting stuck every few days.

One way to make the most of being stuck in the truck is to lure someone else into the truck and make them taste the pain after you are gone. 'I did this two nights ago,' says Reddit user Pdx3325. 'I bounced around, attracted my prey, made them kill me, and then laughed as I got into the truck to take the loot.'

Some players say they escaped. The only known method of escape is to have a teammate drive up next to the truck so they can get inside, but this is not available to solo players, so many do not know when they first get stuck. Others have used other methods to escape, but no one has posted any evidence.

"Easy way to escape," said Redditor MrGoobanich. 'Get an ATV. Go into the building and into the room. Park it next to the window. The person in the truck clicks on the square and teleports onto the ATV and out of the truck."

The truck trap has ruined many games over the past few months, and getting out has never been easier. Dozens of updates have not changed this track, and one wonders if Infinity Ward has decided to leave it as is. It should never have been intended in the first place, but it is becoming part of the map's lore.

For now, it remains a popular vandalism location. If your friends can't keep up with the scene, trucks are an easy prank - just make sure they keep playing with you after you put them in truck purgatory.

Not everyone can laugh off getting stuck. Trucks may not be the only jail on the map, and it may be fixed in a future changelog.
