Elder Scrolls mod "Morrowind Rebirth" receives major update

It's been nearly a decade since the popular "Morrowind Rebirth" mod for "The Elder Scrolls III" was introduced, and it's still going strong. The mod, which enhanced Morrowind with technical fixes and by giving players more things to see and do, makes the 2002 classic still worth playing nearly 20 years later.

Version 5.2 is primarily intended to fix bugs in the main game and in Rebirth itself, essentially fixing a few more. These include graphical bugs, "hundreds of various minor mesh/texture edits," quest content such as the "Centurion Overlord being too large to pass through the entrance," and unique enchantments to many of Rebirth's weapons. Another major part of the update is a balance fix regarding spell behavior, spell costs, and enchantments.

The most interesting addition is definitely the graphic overhaul of both Gnisis and Seyda Neen. Gnisis looks much better, while the modifications to Seyda Nîn have made it look more like a fishing village. Also new is the coast guard tower that serves as a barracks for imperial soldiers. The update also added the following new items:

New magic armor:

New artifacts/uniques:

New materials:

This extensive mod is perfect for players who already know Morrowind and want to see a better version. As with many mods, it is very satisfying to compare a modded version to an earlier one.
