Players impatient to do more with Red Dead Online (the Moonshiners update came out seven months ago) have recently started dressing up as clowns as a goofy protest.

Well, they can wipe off that greasy face paint and hang up their red noses: new things are finally coming to Red Dead Online, including a new Outlaw Pass and a new Frontier Pursuit. The wait won't be too long: the next update for Red Dead Online is July 28, which is just next week (which probably means the clown protests weren't relevant after all, but let's just say that).

The update will feature a "new Frontier Pursuit that introduces players to the secrets of naturalism as part of a whole new Role," Rockstar says. The new Outlaw Pass will also include "a number of features and fixes requested by the community. Later this year, Red Dead Online's existing Role will receive "exciting new expansions and enhancements," but no further details were given.

If cowboys aren't your thing, GTA Online is also getting a summer update, with the "biggest update in GTA Online history" coming later this year. We still don't know exactly what that means, but we're looking forward to the new heist nonetheless.
