Nvidia's New Hot Fix GPU Driver Resolves "Death Stranding" Texture Corruption

Nvidia has released an optional GPU driver update "hotfix" that addresses several bugs, including one that causes texture corruption in Death Stranding when played on a GeForce RTX 20 series or GeForce GTX 16 series graphics card. hotfix" was provided as an option.

The hotfix is based on the latest 451.67 driver update that Nvidia distributed a few weeks ago. This driver release brought optimizations to Death Stranding, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and F1 2020.

All of the bug fixes in the new 451.85 hot fix will be included in Nvidia's next regular driver update, but it is unclear when exactly they will be available. If you can't wait and are experiencing problems, it is worth trying this hotfix.

In relation to the Shadow of the Tomb Raider fix, GPU scheduling with hardware acceleration is a feature Microsoft introduced in the May 2020 Windows 10 update, a feature introduced in the May 2020 update. Briefly, it passes control of memory management from the CPU to the GPU, potentially improving performance. Apparently, it could also cause problems.

The 451.85 hotfix does not appear in the GeForce Experience software. However, you can obtain the hotfix directly from Nvidia and install it manually.
