The dreaded Fortnight banana, normally covered with its naturally occurring yellow skin, is now naked.

You might think it would be more correct to say that the banana has no skin, but it does not. As you can see above, the banana is wearing normal human pants, which suggests that the peel was part of the garment, not the banana's skin.

Something even more curious: the human epidermis also suggests that it is clothing.

Another thing that bothers me: the banana shorts have a picture of a banana slice printed on them, which is like me wearing a pair of shorts with a cross-section of a human torso printed on them. I see nothing wrong with that.

But there is a twist. We already know that there are bones under the bare chest of the banana. The banana slices on the shorts have no bones. A banana slice without bones or, in the world of Fortnite, a banana is both a type of person and a fruit.

If we are in the situation of boneless banana slices, then bananas are probably cannibals and are on the wrong side of the boneless vs. boned debate (or so I am told). And having thought about that, I also thought about what boneless buffalo banana slices might taste like, and was a little surprised to find that my gut feeling is that they might be worth a try.

Anyway, these summer bananas, called "Unpeely," are available in the Summer Legend pack, which costs $20 in the Fortnite item store. This pack has been on sale for a few days now, so Fortnite players have probably already seen it. Perhaps you have even purchased it.
