Fall Guys" is the biggest launch in Devolver's history.

This week's release of the bumble royale "Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout" from developer Mediatonic and publishing label Devolver Digital was met with unexpected popularity and more server trouble than expected. Today, the game's popularity remains strong, holding the No. 1 spot on Steam's Top Sellers chart ahead of recent releases "Horizon Zero Dawn" and "Grounded," as well as Bethesda games on sale during QuakeCon ("DOOM Eternal" is half price).

League of Legends also holds the #2 spot in Twitch viewership, with League of Legends holding the #1 spot. Today, Steam has 124,772 players, putting it in third place among the top games in terms of players, behind CS: GO and Dota 2.

Devolver's previous most popular game by Steam player count was SCUM, which had just under 68,000 players shortly after launch in 2018.

In his review of Fall Guys here, Christopher Livingston sums up its appeal:" It's a brilliant feat to make a game so engaging and silly, full of truly dramatic moments, heartbreaking defeats, and last-minute acrobatic feats."
