Vampire Masquerade: Bloodlines 2" has been postponed to 2021.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will be released in 2021, studio Hardsuit Labs announced today. The rebooted RPG was originally slated for a March release, but was later changed to late 2020.

The statement does not say when in 2021 it will be released, but given the lack of recent updates, this news is not a surprise. The full statement reads:

"Our goal has always been to deliver the best game possible, immersing you in a reimagined Seattle in a dark world, a worthy successor to the original Bloodlines.

"Because of the quality hurdles we set and our ambitions, we made the difficult decision that we needed more time, and that's why we're so excited to be working on this new game.

"This means that our goal of a 2020 launch is no longer possible. Shifting the launch date is one of the changes we are making to ensure the best player experience."

Just quietly, it's probably a wise move all around: Cyberpunk 2077 is going to dominate the conversation about RPGs in the last quarter of the year, and it's nice to see a (more polished) and sprawling "vampire" game in 2021. vampire: Vampire: Vampire. The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2" from what we know about it, it's probably worth the wait.
