GTA Radio Host Laszlo Leaves Rockstar

Lazlow Jones, who has accompanied us on our drives through the cities of "Grand Theft Auto" for the past 20 years, has left Rockstar Games.

Known as a prolific in-game radio host, Jones became a regular, first scripting and hosting Chatterbox FM in "GTA 3" and then hosting the talent show "Fame or Shame" in "GTA 5." [However, Jones' influence on the series went beyond providing his voice for the games, as he also worked as a writer, director, and producer. Over the years, he has worked on trailers, streams, and in-game animated shows for GTA, as well as directing voice acting and writing dialogue. He has also contributed to Red Dead Redemption 2 and other Rockstar games.

Discovered by the Gtamen YouTube channel, Jones updated his LinkedIn profile and appears to have left Rockstar in April. He did not reveal the reason for his departure, but in an Instagram post he talks about becoming the primary caregiver for his sister, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. The pandemic made the situation "fundamentally difficult," he said.

Jones left Rockstar in March, just a month after co-founder Dan Hauser left the company; according to his LinkedIn profile, he is currently working on several projects, including shows for Disney and Netflix. He also consults for an unnamed video game company and collaborates with a writer for Comedy Central and a former DreamWorks director.
