Film "Firewatch" is back in action.

Campo Santo's excellent "Firewatch" is being made into a feature film. If it sounds familiar, that's because it dates back to 2016. The deal fell through when Good Universe was acquired by Lionsgate and the rights reverted to Campo Santo, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, a new deal with Snoot Entertainment, the production company behind "Blindspotting" and "Little Monsters" The film is now under contract.

"Jess [Wu Calder] and Keith [Calder] are hardworking, visionary film producers with impeccable video game taste," said Camposanto co-founder Sean Vanaman.

"From our first conversation with Jess and Keith, as we did when we met Joe Drake and the Good Universe team in 2016, we knew they would be great partners. There is no doubt in our minds about their expertise, taste, and passion, and we assume that our experience there as game developers will make them top-notch producing partners."

The film, like the game, tells the story of Henry, a fire lookout in 1989 Wyoming, and his long-distance boss, Delilia. But what seems like a lonely job in a lonely place, a much-needed escapade, becomes something quite different as a strange mystery begins to unfold and Henry's focus turns to something more sinister. a great game that deserves an 85% review, and I'm not sure if the film adaptation will work I'm happy to give it another shot.
