Hitman 3 game modes: PvP will be eliminated and Elusive Target mode will be changed.

Hitman 3 will follow the same basic template as the previous current version of the Hitman game, but there are some changes; IO Interactive details what will change in a new blog post, and the biggest news comes in the form of what will not feature.

Ghost Mode, the one-on-one online multiplayer mode that debuted in Hitman 2, will not appear in Hitman 3. We've learned a tremendous amount from Ghost Mode over the past two years. We intend to incorporate all of these learnings into what we do going forward regarding multiplayer," the blog post states.

In addition to the regular campaign mode, Hitman 3 will feature Escalations, Contracts, and Sniper Assassin. The latter will not feature cooperative play, and the studio plans to "terminate" the cooperative play server for Hitman 2 as well.

Elusive Targets will return, but its mechanics will change slightly; IO Interactive confirmed as much, but said it would not know the details until "a later date." So, the gist of this news is that the multiplayer will be released, and everything else will be (mostly) the same, but more information and news is promised before the January release window.
