Valve confirmed today that the Steam Game Festival, originally planned as a way for developers to promote their games amidst the cancellation of gaming events, will become a permanent part of the event lineup, with two more events planned for the first half of 2021.

This decision was made in response to "feedback from developers and players," who said, "It sure is fun to play demos of new and upcoming games," and "Remember when you could usually get a magazine with a demo printed in it? I'm a working man!"

October 7 (10 am PST / 6 pm BST) The official dates for the Steam Game Festival: Autumn Edition, which will run from October 13 (6pm BST) through October 13 (6pm BST), have also been set. Developers who want their games to be noticed can register to attend until August 26.
