One of my biggest gripes with modern games, especially RPGs, is the insistence on keeping text sizes minuscule, whether in subtitles or in the documents in the story. Whether you have vision problems or prefer to sit a reasonable distance from the screen when playing (or both, as I do), the minuscule font sizes in games are annoying. Especially while you press pause, crawl over to the TV, and squint to see important instructions, the screen leaves a lot of space to do basically nothing.
CD Projekt Red confirmed that the text size of Cyberpunk 2077's subtitles can be adjusted, in response to a fan on Twitter who expressed concern about the legibility of the subtitles in a recent gameplay preview (other fans had similar opinions) the Twitter account allayed their concerns and confirmed that both the size and color of the subtitles are adjustable.
While there is no word yet on whether in-game documents will have similarly adjustable text, this is still good news for subtitle fans, not only for deaf gamers who have missed important dialogue due to competing noises and other distractions, but also for It is an accessibility feature that will be helpful to all those who have missed important dialogue due to competing noises or other distractions.
Despite this hopeful news, there is still much to be learned about how "Cyberpunk 2077" will fare in terms of overall accessibility; Steve Saylor, known to his YouTube subscribers as "The Blind Gamer," recently created a video summarizing everything we know so far about game accessibility (you can also read the transcript here). A key theme in games like Cyberpunk 2077 is the possibilities that are expanded by the availability of body modification and augmentation.
