What do you get when you combine Puyopuyo and Tetris? Puyopuyo Tetris, of course. This puzzle game mashup will get a sequel next year, with a Steam release set for early 2021, and a console version coming in December.

Everyone knows Tetris, but for those who don't know Puyo Puyo, it's a little like Tetris, except you have to match four colors to make the blocks disappear. In Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, you can play both games separately, but the real fun is in mixing them up.

Next year's version will add a new skill battle mode. According to Sega, this will "introduce character-based skills that can quickly turn a matchup around, as well as item cards to power up your team. A single-player adventure mode will also return, and online play will offer "game-by-game leagues" and a free-play mode that allows up to four players to play simultaneously.
