Get "Hitman" and "Shadowrun Collection" for free in the Epic Games Store

The latest freebies from the Epic Games store are a stunning pair of very different but both very cunning games. Hitman, which satisfies your desire to pull off elaborate assassinations as a creepy clone, and Shadowrun Collection, which lets you hack a huge organization as an elf.

"Hitman" is the return of the series after a bit of a slump with "Absolution" and offers some of the most elaborate murder sandboxes ever. Sapienza in particular is special, a sprawling, elaborate level that makes the entire seaside town a playground, complete with luxurious mansions and secret underground laboratories.

The "Shadowrun Collection" gives you three games, but you can skip the first, Shadowrun Returns. It's a good RPG that is completely outclassed by its sequel. You can jump straight into "Dragonfall" because it's stand-alone and the story is not a strong point. They are all cyberpunk RPGs set on an Earth where magic has emerged, and you can transform humans into orcs and elves, or use magic to cause mischief. You can take part in tactical brawls as an orc street samurai or use drones to avoid obstacles as a dwarven rigger.

Both are free to play until September 3, after which they'll be replaced by PC Gamer favorites: Into the Breach. 2018's Game of the Year is just as much a must-play for tactical geeks as it was two years ago.
