"Project CARS 3" takes everything already loved about the franchise and takes it to the next logical level, adding more than 40 new cars and bringing the number of cars to over 200, with a new "Project CARS 3" title that will be released in the fall of 2012.
Online multiplayer, an all-new career mode, and several other new modes will take the rubber-burning monsters around the world. While many of the franchise's classic courses are available, "Project CARS 3" will add 12 new courses, for a total of 122. Some of these will be located at two official new circuits in real locations, while four fictional locations will offer exotic races not found anywhere else.
This is already a lot of cars and tracks, but these numbers do not even begin to address the true variety that will be available through customization. You can take any car you like and tune it to your liking, or change its style with race conversion kits and performance parts. Even the driver behind the wheel can be customized. You can even customize the race course according to the time of day, season, and weather.
All of this is made possible by new effects such as the new motion blur effect for a sense of speed, Hollywood lenses, and special crash effects.
And Project CARS 3 is more accessible than ever. While avid pros will enjoy the immersive experience with their favorite racing wheels and VR headset, casual and intermediate players will find improved controller support and assistants that can be adjusted to their liking. Players new to Project CARS 3 will also have a "First Time User Experience" to guide them through all that Project CARS 3 has to offer.
To celebrate the launch, PC Gamer got behind the wheel in person. From street cars to supercars, you'll take on a variety of trials and tribulations that Project Cars 3 has to offer. We plan to get a feel for the tracks, the cars, and the game as a whole.
