Sea of Thieves Adds Dogs in Next Update

First it was monkeys and parrots, then cats, and soon dogs: today at Gamescom, Rare revealed that everyone's favorite furry four-legged friends will be added to Sea of Thieves in the next content update.

(And I love cats, I have cats! -but let's be honest, they are not our friends. At best, they are crappy roommates who get by on looks and occasional flattery)

Details are still unknown, but it is reasonable to expect that each of the other pets in the game will cost 349 Ancient Coins (Flasher's "Collector's Pet" is 649) and dogs will cost the same. Of course, that does not take into account the extra outfits you could buy for them, and probably will.

While you'll probably be able to pet them (it's odd that dogs are excluded, since you can show affection to other pets in the game), everyone's real concern is whether you'll be able to stuff them in a cannon and release them into the ocean. PC Gamer's high seas hijinx expert, Chris, did My guess, based on significant research, is "probably."

It could also be made to vomit on the deck of a ship, just as the real thing vomits on the carpet. I will report back.
