Watch the new Everspace 2 video and developer AMA on the forum.

Everspace was a roguelike space combat game released a few years ago (now on sale for less than $5 on Steam), and following its success and a successful Kickstarter campaign to raise funds, developer Rockfish Games, with Everspace 2 an attempt to create an even bigger open-world space RPG. We saw a new trailer for the game at the PC Gaming Show earlier this year.

If you have any questions about Everspace 2, now's your chance: the Rockfish developer is answering PC Gamer readers' questions directly in an AMA forum thread this week.

The AMA is part of a series of Everspace 2 posts in the Studio Spotlight section of the PC Gamer forums, where Rockfish has also posted an in-depth look at the story of Everspace and Everspace 2 (concept art too), plus you can enter to win an Aurora R10 Lunar Light gaming PC powered by a Ryzen 5 3500 and Radeon RX 5600, accessories, and a giveaway to celebrate the launch of Everspace 2. Folks, this is a big haul.

In the new video you can see in this post, you can see how the menu allows you to do more than just combat in Everspace 2, such as sorting weapons, customizing your ship, choosing perks, and viewing statuses. The interface seems more or less streamlined, and you'll likely spend quite a bit of time comparing laser statuses.

Rockfish plans to release Everspace 2 on Steam Early Access later this year.
