Wasteland 3 is an excellent role-playing game with a great deal of player freedom, but it can be limited by the toughness of your squad. For example, when you first encounter the Patriarch, the ruler of Colorado, about 30 minutes into the game, you may be tempted to kill him to see if that is possible. The Patriarch is quite involved in the story and is the one who provides the main story quest that makes Wasteland 3 so exciting.
But why not kill him? Surely you're right: first: a small force at the start of the game has no chance of defeating him and his friends. Second, it would probably break the game. Third, and related to the first point, it's impossible unless you cheat.
But what if you cheat and kill the patriarch the moment you meet him? This happens:
This is pretty cool! It shows the dedication of the studio inXile that an RPG incorporates player actions that can only be accomplished by cheating.
