Crusader Kings 3 was just released yesterday, so I wasn't expecting much when I jumped into the Steam workshop. I only made a few tweaks here and there. Now, with the World of Darkness and Vampire-inspired conversion mods, I'm drinking my way through Europe as an undead asshole: in Masquerade
Princes of Darkness, you can play as a 13th century vampire, gain all the powers that come with it. Immortality, blood magic, and supernatural seduction. ...... Vampire traits and abilities, and an all-new lifestyle tree galore. With the religious system in "Crusader Kings 3," you can customize your undead culture with special doctrines and dogmas and set your own rules for the Masquerade. This game started as a mod for "Crusader Kings 2," so it has already developed quite a bit.
Now, as a sorcerer in Tremere, he faces off against the Zimmies and turns his human companions into vampires. Even though it's only been a few years, I've seen a lot of new events and being a vampire is ingrained in everything I do. What is most lacking is a vampire character model, which would be considerably more difficult than changing the portrait of the previous one.
The Bronze Age: The Bronze Age: Maryannu is another complete conversion mod that takes the action back thousands of years. It boasts ancient religious beliefs, allowing you to play as a pharaoh, visit oracles, and choose patron deities. There are new (but really old) innovations like tanks, overhauled buildings, and further features in development. Most of the character models remain the same, but there are already some pharaoh's clothes, and more will be added.
Nearly 100 mods have already appeared on Steam Workshop, most of which are not yet on the scale of Princes of Darkness or The Bronze Age. This custom ruler designer is worth a look, as is this remake of one of the more controversial expansions of Crusader Kings 2: Sunset Invasion.
There seem to be a lot of mods to play this week. Stay tuned for a proper recommendation soon!
