Iron Harvest" campaign co-op, ranked mode, and new maps coming this month

Released this week, "Iron Harvest" is a rare opportunity to excite RTS fans. The campaign offers 30 hours of explosive spectacle and clashing mechs, with plenty of multiplayer and skirmish action. And this month is already quite large.

According to the roadmap, new stuff will start rolling out next week, introducing a new 3-on-3 map and campaign co-op. The campaign has a few set-piece battles that are fun to play with your co-op buddies.

Two more maps, a ranked mode, and autocast abilities will be added this month.

The biggest draw for me is the Iron Harvest campaign. Now that the genre is an endangered species, what I miss the most, is a meaty RTS story, preferably with multiple factions and campaigns. The action is reminiscent of Company of Heroes, but the structure is definitely in the vein of Warcraft 3. The ranked mode will probably never be played, but a few additional maps for a leisurely compstomp would be worth mentioning.

King Art is also giving away mech skins to Kickstarter backers, which are also a pre-order bonus for those who purchased on GOG or Steam, but you'll have to wait a bit longer as they're waiting on the store.
