Launch of "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" moves up one week.

Following today's announcement of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, the release date for "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" has been set.

Originally scheduled for a November 17 release date, Ubisoft has moved the release date up to November 10 to coincide with the launch of the new consoles; it will also be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Stadia on the same date.

Ubisoft must also be a bit worried, seeing the small gap between "Valhalla" and "Cyberpunk 2077," which will be released on November 19. You don't want to compete with another huge RPG, and one that has been highly anticipated for years. Now, with a gap of over a week instead of two days, Eivor has a little more time in the spotlight.

Since Valhalla was first announced, Ubisoft has been criticized for its workplace culture. The creative director of Valhalla was fired a month after leaving his position, following an external investigation into his conduct. Several other executives accused of workplace abuse have also left the company or been fired.

In July, CEO Yves Guillemot issued an official statement promising structural reforms, but then attempted to evade responsibility by blaming others for "betraying trust."
