Finnish manufacturer Loupedeck has added a new member to its family of hardware consoles for streamers and content creators. The new Loupedeck Live is a more portable evolution of its predecessor, the Loupedeck CT, and seeks to take on the role of streamer's best friend against the Elgato Stream Deck.

Mikko Kesti, founder and CEO of Loupedeck, stated, "Loupedeck Live was the natural next step in our console line, offering streamers the same customization without sacrificing the quality viewers expect."

Various dials and programmable buttons provide highly customizable controls for creative apps. With a quick flick, users can edit the contrast and color warmth levels of a photo, or control lighting and audio levels in streaming settings. Custom actions can capture any kind of input: key presses, shortcuts, delays, macros, text, links, application launches, and even mouse movements. You can even add your own icons and GIFs to the buttons on the LCD screen, so you can personalize it as you wish.

Loupedeck calls it a "power console," much like the Elgato Stream Deck and Touch Portal. What sets this deck apart from its rivals is that it supports a wide range of apps: not only Twitch, OBS, and Streamlabs, but also Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and even Final Cut Pro X is also supported. [Loupedeck Profile Creator allows you to create individual profiles for the apps you need, such as Microsoft Excel and Google Chrome. Many default profiles are also available.

If you purchase before the end of 2020, you will have limited test support for all your favorite creative software, but there is a catch to this hardware: after the trial, You must choose two of your favorite software to control. Beyond that, they must purchase individual plug-ins for a monthly fee or pay for a lifetime license for each software.

Loupedeck Live owners can continue to support all streaming apps and Spotify and choose their two favorite creative software, but if they want to use the hardware to control all of Adobe's creative suite, for example additional fees will apply.

If you just want to control Twitch, OBS, and Streamlabs, thankfully there is no additional cost. Also, Loupedeck Live is priced at $269, which is much more affordable than the $549 Loupedeck CT.
