Nvidia's compact waterblocks for the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 are stunning.

Update: EKWB and Corsair have officially announced water blocks for Nvidia's RTX 30 series.

The EK-Quantum Vector RTX 3080/3090 D-RGB is equipped for cards using reference PCBs, but we want to check the compatibility list to make sure it fits. It is worth noting that this block is not compatible with the Founders Edition PCB, but EK has confirmed that a water block for that design will be available.

The Corsair Hydro X Series XG7 RGB block is available in multiple models to fit Founders Edition RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 cards and various third-party reference designs.

Snaps of both new block designs can be seen below.

Original Story Ever since my first attempt at liquid cooling, I have been obsessed with GPU water blocks. Often an acrylic piece sandwiched between machined metal and housing copper or aluminum fins, they are deeply satisfying to watch in action. And Nvidia Ampere's next-generation waterblock set for the RTX 30 series graphics cards is a masterpiece.

They are from EKWB and from Corsair. Neither has been officially announced, but they have been teased or spotted online, and their designs are stunning. See below.

Perhaps it's the compact design made possible by Nvidia Ampere's new PCB and cooler design; the EKWB model has ports that extend parallel to the PCIe connectors and will no doubt work in very luxurious gaming PC builds.

What is not yet clear is which waterblock designs will work with different PCB designs; Nvidia Founders Edition, despite its long history, does not utilize reference PCBs. Some waterblocks are built to accommodate reference third-party cards, while other waterblocks may take full advantage of Nvidia's smaller PCBs and new 12-pin angle connectors.

Corsair's design was scrapped from Corsair's website (via Reddit), and the new 12-pin connector speaks to its Ampere intentions. Google also shows EKWB's RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 compatible water blocks, which redirect to a 404 in EKWB's web store. This is different from the block pictured above, which appears to be for a reference PCB design.

In addition, Bykski has announced RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 compatible blocks made for Founders Edition models. [As Dave explains in Nvidia's RTX 3080 review, it's a pretty high-performance design, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it if the liquid-cooled alternative looks so good.
