No Man's Sky developer Hello Games said earlier this month that after the release of The Last Campfire, it is planning its next big project, "a huge, ambitious game like No Man's Sky." However, they are still working on No Man's Sky itself, and today announced that a new update, called Origins, will be released next week.

The studio did not reveal what "Origins" will bring to the game, but Hello Games co-founder Sean Murray hinted that it will be big. four years ago, when "No Man's Sky's" first major update, " Foundation, promised, when we announced it, 'It won't be the biggest update, but it will be the start of something. These words were true then, and they are true for Origins; we called it Origins because it is the beginning of something new, just as No Man's Sky continues to grow and evolve."

"We know that the community has a huge appetite for the content of No Man's Sky. We are silent, but we are always listening and focused on improving the game that our team loves and feels passionate about."

That is an understatement, as anyone who tried to access the "No Man's Sky" website when "Origins" was first released can attest. Murray has commented on that as well.
