Two new trailers for "Cyberpunk 2077" showcasing Night City and the gangs that live there.

The big news from today's Cyberpunk 2077 online showcase was the release of PC system requirements. If you haven't seen it yet, you will surely be pleased (and perhaps surprised) to hear that the operating environment requirements are really light (you should have an SSD in your rig anyway at this point, but an SSD really makes a big difference), but if you don't Otherwise, a typical gaming system should be sufficient.

But that's not all: CD Projekt has also released several new trailers showcasing Night City, the sprawling urban nightmare where most of the game's action is based, and the gangs that inhabit it. [It may be a grand playground for the wealthy, but its underside is ugly and corrupt, and can inflict deep wounds if not outright murder. Toward the end, however, a website called "nightcity.love" is introduced. It contains historical information (including why it is called "Night City"), information on the best ways to get around, and details about the various districts of the city. There are some nice screenshots, thematic ads (some of which cover the text, so you have to close them if you actually want to read anything), and a report on the body count at the top.

The "Gangs of Night City" video showcases some of the street-level factions you will encounter in the game, including the augmentation-obsessed Maelstrom, the gun-crazed Sixth Street, and the Wraiths and Aldecardos who do business in the Badlands. Unfortunately, there are also the low-riders who ride around, say "Follow God and Santa Madre," and "Gangster life, puto!" and says, "I'm a gangster, pto!" and Valentino, the high-tech katana-wielding, tattooed, neo-samurai-like Tiger Claw, are also portrayed in disappointingly stereotypical ways.

Gangs abound in Night City, but you can't actually join one: quest designer Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz told the showcase that V, as a marker, takes jobs from various factions, including various rival gangs and corporations He said. Instead, V will primarily stick to the Afterlife club in Night City, which will serve as a sort of home base for mercenaries.

"Afterlife is a legendary group of mercenaries in Night City. 'They get the best jobs, the best money, the best clients. So if you want to be a legend in Night City, you go to Afterlife."

Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled for release on November 19.
